Transition are important in editing that we used during our trailer. We folllowed these conventions that are typically used by real media text and used different transition techniques such as dissolve which gradual transition from one image to another. This help a image to fade in and out which is a important technique in editing which other real media text tend to use.

In this real media text trailer called “Mama” this conventions is also followed. This is mainly used at the beginning minutes in the trailer which helps to slow the pace of the trailer down. This is also displayed in other real media text which shows what a important conventions it seem to be hence the reason why we have included this in our own trailer.

Fast Cut
In this part of the trailer we followed a important conventions that tends to be used in most horror trailer which is fast cuts, this is a film editing technique which refers to several different shot with a duration level of 3 second or less this is used at the end of the trailer to portray the build up and increase the pace which is where most real media text trailer tend to this conventions.

A convention of fast cuts is used in this real text called “The Possession” which is used towards the end of the trailer to increase the speed and pace of the trailer and to portray the violence in the trailer as the possessed girl start to act everybody. This is a useful convention because it builds up the excitement and energy in the trailer which was a convention that we choose to followed.

Slow Cuts
In this beginning of the trailer we followed the conventions of slow cuts which are is a film editing technique which uses shots of long duration this is used to slow down the trailer and is typically used in the start of the trailer by real media trailers

Towards the beginning of our trailer we followed the conventions of match cuts which is a cut in film editing between either two different objects, two different spaces, or two different compositions in which an object in the two or more shots match which helps with continuity this is used in our trailer. This is a important conventions that is used in all trailer. We decided to follow this conventions as it a useful tool to tell the audience what going on in the trailer or what might happen. This can be used as a good indicator to the use as they will know when to aspect that bad things are going to happen.

In this part of the trailer we've have used a bad tv effect which is a usually tool in final cut pro. Due to the thuds having a really heavy bass, this go well with the sounds. This helps to enhance the trailer visually and makes it more interesting to watch because of this we have followed this convention.

In our trailer we decided to make our props of a a book called the Necromicon by using product such as cotton wool, glue, A4 lined paper, A3 thick card paper. This was used to summon the demon and is a convention we followed as real media text tend to use this as well. |

Non-Diegetic Sound

In our trailer we have decided to follow other real media text and the length of their trailer has they tend to be between 0.50 second to 2 min. Therefore we have decided to make our trailer 0.52 second. This makes seem more realistic as it between the normally timing of a real media trailer

She slits her wrists to the mark of the devil symbols which proceeds in her and then becomes possessed by it. This inner demon is triggered when anyone laughs at her. Resolutions- The last remaining survivor then try to find out what is wrong with the girl however find she possessed and try to run away. |

In our trailer the used on red eye has to show the evilness inside her which tend to be used in real media text. This is a important part in our trailer due to it showing that she has been possessed. The uses of this helps to portray the evil spirt or demonic being that is inside the person.
