This is our STORYBOARD AND ANIMATIC page. As a group we have been working to create our storyboard and animatic ; this allows us to envision accurately what is to happen when it comes to actually shooting the final piece. It was very important that our animatic looked as real as possible. This will help us as a group, as we now have a united vision of what it is we are producing, as opposed to jumbled thoughts of four different peoples version of the same thing. The animatic allows us to sort out our sound, both diegetic and non-diegetic.
Having created our storyboard (with the appropriate detailed notes), we then uploaded our each shot to final cut pro. We used the trailer for the film “the house of 1000 corpses” to help us with constructing our animatic. Using final cut pro we cut up the trailer by each shot and imported our storyboard images just as how it was in the existing trailer along with the fades. This took a lot of time to make but it’s given us so much more confidence moving into filming.
The animatic has been an important stepping stone in the film-making process; its the first time our horror-opening has actually felt real and fully-formed. Also, the animatic has helped us to identify mistakes. The animatic has also reinforced our confidence in our ideas. Moreover, we felt the montage sequence in the animatic worked well, and the narrative is understandable.

Storyboard (Narrative)
Overall, we’re really pleased with how our animatic and storyboard has gone. The final step before shooting, we now have a clear picture of what we're doing, and it feels as though we only now have to translate what we've made in the animatic into real life, rather than having to be spontaneous and make most of it up on the day. With the animatic now done, we now feel confident and ready to shoot...
Animatic
We are pleased with the outcome of our animatic and storyboard, We have used a wide range of different shots and angles to ensure the audience is draw into the film, because of the existing trailer that was used as a guideline, we ensured that the anmatic is easy to follow and to give it a greater sense of timing which should help us dramatically when filming and editing the real version of the teaser trailer.
New and improved Storyboard & Animatic
After finishing creating the animatic and storyboard we noticed that it could be improved as there are parts in the animatic & storyboard which didn't really make sense to us, and because we want to bring the best quality possible we thought it would be better to re-do the storyboard and the animatic, thus making it easier to understand and, from now we will be using this new plan insuring that everything is clearer to follow.
